Adult Beginner Contemporary Dance - Mondays 6-7pm
Contemporary Dance combines Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Interpretive Dance to create meaningful dances. This class welcomes absolute beginners, and returning dancers alike. For more about Contemporary Dance, see the video “What is Contemporary Dance?” We will begin class with a gentle warm up to increase our strength and flexibility, then we will progress across the floor with bigger, more dynamic moves. Finally, we will learn a short dance combination allowing students to express themselves through movement, and piece together the exercises we learned throughout the class.
This class is accessible to a wide range of movers! Class can be taken standing, seated in a chair or wheelchair, or holding on to a chair or walker for balance. If you have mobility limitations and are interested in taking this class, feel free to email me at kait.dance.info@gmail.com to share anything that can help me plan a challenging and successful class for you.
